Are you interested in joining a fun-loving, hardworking community of food and beverage enthusiasts? An up-and-coming European-style bakery café in the heart of Falls Church City is seeking Baristas. Baristas play a key role in providing an excellent experience (and espresso!) to all who walk through our doors. They must be passionate about coffee and food, and desirous to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. 

Duties will include:

• Creating and serving a variety of espresso-based drinks and tea beverages.
• Weighing and dialing in espresso shots.
• Ensuring top quality execution of all beverages (latte art!).
• Greeting and interacting with guests, creating an environment that is friendly, positive and down-to-earth.
• Sharing detailed knowledge and answering questions about who we are and what we serve, such as suggesting menu items to our guests. 
• Upholding food safety and quality standards by maintaining and regularly cleaning/sanitizing espresso machine and workstation.
• Recording all customer feedback and reporting it to supervisor, and taking immediate action to rectify a problem in the case of an unhappy customer.
• Contributing to a positive team environment.
• Taking initiative when a need is identified, and performing other duties and tasks as assigned by manager.

Requirements:

• Must have at least one year of relevant experience. 
• Available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and some holidays. Must be able to work a minimum of 2 Sundays per month.
• Enthusiastic and knowledgeable about great coffee.
• A passion for hospitality and guest service.
• An outgoing and energetic disposition.
• A polished and tasteful presence.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated through excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Punctuality and regular, consistent attendance.
• Available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends and some holidays.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and requires occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED.
