Compensation: $70,000 to $85,000 annually. Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Workplace Setting: Fully Onsite.
Position Summary The Finance Analyst will support the FP&A team by providing accurate financial analysis, preparing reports and assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes. This role is ideal for someone who is analytical, enjoys working with data and is looking to build a career in finance.
This individual will assist in developing and maintaining the systems needed to aggregate accounting information into a standard set of financials and transform financial data into meaningful insights. SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Producing accurate financial reports, forecasts, and variance analysis that provide clear and actionable insights to help stakeholders make better business decisions
Creating data that is clean and can be easily interpreted by multiple leaders within the organization
OBJECTIVES - Support FP&A Managers by providing accurate financial analysis, preparing reports and assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Collect, Clean and organize financial data from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and assist with drafting footnotes and key points for financial statements.
- Find and resolve potential issues or discrepancies within the data to ensure accuracy
- Perform accurate and timely entry of financial data into relevant systems, ensuring data integrity and consistency across financial reports and records.
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and Ad Hoc reports, tools and Excel or Google dashboards
- Support in reconciliation between different data sources to align fields to support analytics
COMPETENCIES - Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets for creating and managing reports.
- Familiar with project management tools (e.g., Asana) and G-Suite (Slides and Docs).
- Able to analyze financial data and statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows).
- Skilled in spotting issues in financial reporting and suggesting improvements.
- Capable of assisting with departmental budgets and financial reports.
- Understands the difference between revenue and profitability and how business changes affect them.
- Basic knowledge of cash versus accrual accounting and their impacts.
- Able to create useful reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Familiar with the month-end closing process and how accounting changes affect financial reports.
Education And Experience - Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least 1-3 years’ work experience in Finance and Accounting
