Description
SAIC has an opening for a Principal of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) that will report to the Sector FP&A Senior Manager. This position will drive timely financial analysis, forecasting and identification of actions for business performance in line with long-term plan targets and within financial risk limits for a Sector with ~$3B in annual revenue.
Remote possibilities are available to candidates local to the Reston, VA area.
Primary Job Duties:
- Act as a strategic partner and provide support to Business Unit Finance Directors to ensure alignment of financial and business strategy, focusing on initiatives that drive growth for the Business Units and Sector.
- Drive value through continuous improvement in the forecasting process and accuracy of the forecasts.
- Utilize accurate and relevant information on financial performance to aid in the decision making of the Sector
- Support key weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting deliverables that track and communicate the performance of the sector's key metrics
- Identify and drive margin improvement in support of sustained profitable growth
- Maximize cash conversion and drive net working capital and backlog forecasting across the Sector
- Measure core initiatives across business development, capture, and program management teams, and model ROI in each area
- Perform data reconciliation and consolidation, as well as variance analysis
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in accounting, finance or similar field and at least (ten) 10+ years of relevant experience working in the federal and/or commercial technology market
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Cognos, Fusion, and BI Tools
- Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Expertise in quantitative analysis and presentations
- Strong understanding of financial planning, analysis, and reporting
- Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal customers
Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters. Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
