Our UPMC Physician Services Human Resources team has an exciting opportunity available as a Human Resources Assistant! This is a regular, full-time position that primarily works daylight hours, Monday through Friday. A perk of this position includes flexibility to spend a portion of your week working at home!

In this role, the Human Resources Assistant will provide administrative support services to all team members in the UPMC Physician Services Human Resources department. They play an integral role in the delivery of employee relations support by assisting with tasks such as responding to employee inquiries, employee file maintenance, data entry of confidential personnel information, running compliance reports, preparation for annual HR initiatives, and assisting with other projects as needed.  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are critical to success in the role.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the HR Director, HR Consultants, and others as assigned.
  • Assist with timely data entry of licenses, certifications, clearances, and corrective action.
  • Send documents to the HR Scan Center to be added to employee records.
  • Provide support with ordering of office supplies, reviewing and organizing incoming mail, assist with filing/printing/copying/faxing items in a timely manner.
  • Run basic queries for tracking and compliance purposes. Reports include but are not limited to licensure reports, turnover reports, and annual mandatories reports.
  • Assist leadership with processing expenses, screening calls, calendar management, scheduling meetings, booking conference rooms, taking meeting minutes, and processing expenses.
