Internal Medicine Physician – Outpatient Only
Location: Lakeland, Florida
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Internal Medicine physician to join our Lakeland outpatient practice. This is an outpatient-only opportunity with a focus on high-quality patient care in a managed care environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in value-based care, with knowledge of HEDIS and MRA coding, and be comfortable managing a patient panel of 14–15 patients per day.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive care to adult patients in an outpatient setting.
Manage and coordinate care within a managed care or value-based medicine framework.
Utilize knowledge of HEDIS and MRA coding to ensure compliance and optimize patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records.
Collaborate with care teams, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and administrative staff.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine.
Active, unrestricted Florida medical license.
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in managed care or value-based care preferred.
Knowledge of HEDIS and MRA coding.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and care teams.
