Your role: create and implement workshops that produce measurable improvements in phonics, fluency, and comprehension for early elementary learners, then support us in expanding that framework to campuses nationwide.

What You Will Be Doing
• Facilitating adaptive reading workshops focused on phonics, comprehension, and fluency development
• Creating personalized motivational programming through gamified literacy benchmarks
• Reviewing student performance data to adjust teaching methods and identify actionable trends
• Partnering with engineering teams to assess and improve AI literacy platforms informed by classroom outcomes
• Building scalable, AI-integrated materials that help early elementary learners reach grade-level reading proficiency

Basic Requirements
Literacy Specialist key responsibilities
• Bachelor's degree plus advanced certification in reading instruction (such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or similar)
• Minimum 2 years of experience providing small-group reading interventions to early elementary students
• Capable of evaluating reading levels, organizing student groups, and creating differentiated instruction independent of pre-packaged curricula
• Experienced with AI/adaptive learning platforms and attentive to how students interact with these tools
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
• Available to work on-site at one of our locations: Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Plano, TX; Tampa, FL; or Dorado, Puerto Rico

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
