Description

Works with Controller to handle general accounting functions, ensuring compliance with General Accepted Accounting Principles, analysis, and reconciliation of accounts. The person will report directly to the Controller and work hand in hand with the other members of the Accounting Team and must be able to work amicably with a variety of personalities while maintaining professionalism while applying a broad knowledge of advanced accounting methods and procedures.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Perform various reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliation, and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintains and sets up vendors.
• Processes internal company invoicing.
• Assists with Accounts Receivable and Account Payable functions.
• Participates in various month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate completion.
• Assists with the reviewing of weekly Payroll.
• Processes daily receipts
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Experience

• Experience/Qualifications Required:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in contracting business or accounting.
• 3+ years of senior level accounting experience.
• Full knowledge of GAAP.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality.

Education

• Minimum of an associate degree in business, Accounting, or equivalent.

Special Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
