Job Description

Title: Senior Corporate Accountant
Compensation: 100K – 120K
Environment:  Washington, DC (Hybrid)

Company Overview:
A non-profit/ Real Estate organization focused on providing solutions in the DC Metro Area. 

Role: Senior Corporate Accountant

Job Duties:

• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP
• Manage general ledger operations and account reconciliations
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff
• Oversee treasury operations and internal controls
• Ensure audit and tax compliance
• Collaborate on special projects and process improvements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with MIP or Yardi preferred
• Deep understanding of GAAP and fund accounting principles
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Leadership and staff development experience
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Ability to perform complex account reconciliations independently
