Job Description

DESCRIPTION

The Amazon MGM Studios Awards team is chartered to produce and promote original content in service of Amazon’s Prime Video customers. The team is responsible for distinctive, critically acclaimed, award-winning series including Fallout, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Jury Duty, The Boys, and Fleabag.

Amazon MGM Studios is looking for a smart, enthusiastic, hard-working, and creative candidate to join the Awards team. The Series Awards Lead will lead and execute awards campaigns for Amazon MGM Studios and Prime Video series across all phases of the awards calendar — including both the fall guild season and the Emmy Awards cycle. This role requires a high level of engagement with talent, executive producers, agencies, and internal executives. The ideal candidate will be deeply experienced in navigating relationships across creative and corporate partners to ensure seamless collaboration and campaign execution.

The Series Awards Lead will also be responsible for a high volume of tactical tasks related to series campaigning across all awards organizations. This position works closely with cross-functional teams within the company, including PR, marketing, legal/credits, and external agencies and vendors.
The ideal candidate is an experienced, detail-oriented, and organized planner with a demonstrated ability to respond effectively and efficiently while maintaining flexibility. A positive attitude despite the pressures of a fast-paced environment is essential. The candidate should possess the ability to succeed with minimal supervision, anticipate problems, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead and execute strategic awards campaigns for series during both the fall (Guild) and Emmy Awards cycles.
- Serve as a key point of contact for talent, executive producers, agencies, and internal executives throughout each campaign.
- Help implement and execute submission strategy across series awards campaigns.
- Track and support all submissions-related needs for the Television Academy and relevant guilds and associations.
- Manage day-to-day logistics with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful campaign delivery.
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail and the proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrate impeccable organization, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
- Exhibit strong motivation and the ability to take initiative with minimal direction.
- Uphold high levels of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Communicate effectively with a variety of groups, including senior management, peers, talent representatives, and outside vendors.
- Maintain composure and adaptability in a rapidly changing environment.
- Provide clear and timely submissions information to internal stakeholders, awards team members, and external partners.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 6+ years of film and/or TV PR experience
- Knowledge of the entertainment industry
- Experience in television and film studio / streaming service publicity and tactical campaigning
- Experience leading and executing awards campaigns
- Knowledge of the rules for major awards competitions
