Job Description

Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Accountant to join our finance team. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and providing guidance on tax planning strategies. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities. + Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. + Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation. + Research and resolve complex tax issues. + Assist with tax planning and provide recommendations to minimize tax liability. + Support audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities as needed. + Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors on tax-related matters. + Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Requirements Qualifications: + Proven experience as a Tax Accountant or in a similar tax-focused role. + Strong knowledge of tax codes, regulations, and compliance requirements. + Proficiency in tax software (e.g., TurboTax, Lacerte, CCH Axcess) and MS Office, particularly Excel. + Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. + Strong attention to detail and accuracy. + Effective communication skills for working with clients, colleagues, and regulatory agencies. Education and Certifications: + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. + CPA certification preferred or in progress.
