We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder/Fabricator with a specialty in sanitary welding for food production to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding and stainless-steel fabrication, with a strong focus on maintaining hygienic and sanitary conditions for food production equipment. This role involves fabricating, installing, and repairing stainless steel equipment and piping systems that adhere to strict food safety and sanitation standards. Pay Range: $28.00 - $40.00 /hr Hours: 5:00 am - 3:30 pm Schedule: Monday - Thursday Location: Fresno, CA Travel Requirements: None Work Environment: On-site Core Responsibilities Perform TIG welding on stainless steel components, ensuring all welds meet sanitary and hygienic standards for food-grade equipment. Preform TIG and MIG welding on all metals, including purge welding of process pipe. Fabricate and assemble custom equipment, piping, and structural components for food production process. Install and repair sanitary piping, ensuring proper flow, minimal contamination risk, and compliance with food safety standard. Work closely with engineers, production teams, and maintenance staff to ensure the smooth operation of all food production equipment. Maintain cleanliness of tools and work area, following strict food safety protocols to avoid contamination. Adhere to safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Document work processes and inspections in compliance with company and industry regulations. Passing an in-house sanitary welding test will be part of the in-person interview. Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: High school diploma or equivalent Completion of a skilled trade apprenticeship is preferred but not required (mechanical, electrical, machinist, pipe fitter, etc.) Required Qualifications Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator, with a focus on sanitary welding for the food production industry. Proficient in TIG welding techniques and stainless-steel fabrication. Basic mechanical skills and the ability to operate power tools and welding equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in confined spaces if needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience with reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints. Knowledge of food safety and sanitary regulations Ability to work with precision and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
