Key Responsibilities

• Test Development: Analyze business requirements to develop comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and test cases.
• Execution: Perform rigorous testing for Java programs on distributed platforms and execute test program changes.
• Data Validation: Utilize strong experience with database technologies, specifically Postgres and DB2 , to perform queries and verify data integrity.
• Defect Tracking: Identify, log, and manage bugs using Jira to ensure software quality and correctness.
• Documentation: Prepare both program-level and user-level documentation to support the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Collaboration: Provide clear guidance and collaboration to teams to meet tight deadlines and project goals with transparency.
• System Maintenance: Troubleshoot, test, and debug software to ensure required outcomes and optimal efficiency.

Required Experience & Skills

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in testing Java programs.
• Database Mastery: 5+ years of proven experience with DB2 and Postgres .
• Tooling: 5+ years of hands-on experience using Jira for defect management and tracking.
• Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of the full SDLC, including integration testing and deployment.
• Analytical Ability: Strong skills in correcting data errors and developing data analysis/summary reports.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders and obtain user sign-off prior to production.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Cloud: Hands-on experience with AWS .
• Specialized Software: Experience with Kofax .
• Industry Knowledge: Previous experience working within a Department of Labor (DOL) environment.
• Programming: Functional knowledge of Java programming.
• Legacy Systems: Understanding of JCL on IBM/DELL mainframe operating systems.

Mandatory Work Requirements

• Local Candidates Only: Applicants must currently reside in and be local to the Metro Atlanta area.
• Onsite Presence: This is a strictly onsite position; remote work is not permitted for the duration of the assignment.
• Interview: Candidates must be available for an In-Person interview in Atlanta.
• Compliance: Must follow strict organizational guidelines for checking out source code, migrating changes, and documenting work.
